Madeleine recently made a spectacular last-minute jump-in with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra under maestro Simone Young, singing Leonore in Beethoven's Fidelio alongside Simon O'Neill (Florestan). Click here to read about it!

Madeleine is a co-founder of the organisation, SWAP'ra: Supporting Women and Parents in Opera, who are passionate about effecting positive change in a challenging industry.

Madeleine is the Director of Te Pae Kōkako - The Aotearoa New Zealand Opera Studio (TANZOS). This is an exciting opportunity that combines guiding the next generation of talented singers with continuing her work as an international performer.

ABOUT MADELEINE

New Zealand soprano, Madeleine Pierard started her career as a Jette Parker Artist at The Royal Opera, Covent Garden.  She is in demand particularly throughout Europe and Australasia in both opera and concert roles.

 

Known for her mesmerising stage presence and staggering coloratura, Madeleine enjoys a richly varied career, ranging in speciality from Puccini to Turnage and beyond!
