Madeleine recently made a spectacularly last-minute jump-in with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra under maestro Simone Young, singing Leonore in Beethoven's Fidelio alongside Simon O'Neill (Florestan).
Madeleine has been named the inaugural Dame Malvina Major Chair in Opera at Te Whare Wānanga o Waikato - The University of Waikato in Aotearoa New Zealand. This is an exciting opportunity that combines guiding the next generation of talented singers with continuing work as an international performer.

ABOUT MADELEINE
New Zealand soprano, Madeleine Pierard was a Jette Parker Young Artist at The Royal Opera, Covent Garden. She is in demand as a concert artist and in opera roles throughout Europe and in her home country of New Zealand. Known for her mesmerising stage presence and staggering coloratura, Madeleine enjoys a richly varied career, ranging in speciality from Rossini to Schoenberg.
